Curated Place is an arts development organisation specialising in developing, delivering, managing and marketing major projects and events that redefine cities and regions by working across international borders and with numerous partners. We commission and present light festivals, new music and visual art across Europe and beyond. We have successfully developed major city-wide projects for city councils, private clients and major institutions in the UK, Netherlands, Iceland, Norway, The Faroe Islands, and Egypt.

We have founded and directed major arts festivals, founded a European-wide professional development program for contemporary classical composers, developed a network of production-led Light Festivals in the UK and across the Nordic Region. We regularly develop artists’ profiles on an international stage and have established a cross-disciplinary residency program for creating new light art in the UK, Norway and Italy and which currently has opportunities for artists live on www.curatedplace.com

Our current projects see us delivering one of Scotland’s biggest cultural events – SPECTRA Aberdeen’s Festival of Light, we devised and deliver ENLIGHTEN Manchester Festival of Light and Sound Art and lead the New Music composer development programme Moving Classics Network for New Music – encouraging composers and ensembles to work with light artists. We have also been commissioned to deliver the new music programme for Hull2017.

Building on our strategic relationship with Aberdeen City Council, Aberdeen Inspired, Aberdeen Festivals and The Kirk of St Nicholas, we will deliver a bigger, more ambitious international programme across Aberdeen City Centre in February 2017 for which we are currently welcoming collaborative proposals.

We can deliver large scale artworks, develop cultural strategies at a city-wide scale, advise on funding strategies for both commercial and creative projects and attract international funding to support experimental programmes. To get in touch drop us a line on info@curatedplace.com
