Rona is a multidisciplinary designer specializing in light products and big scale light installations, with a design philosophy rooted in cultural context and environmental sensitivity. At the beginning of her career, she focused extensively on designing with light, developing a deep understanding of how illumination can shape space and experience.
She graduated with an MA in Industrial Design from the Scuola Politecnica di Design in Milan in 1999. After gaining extensive experience at renowned design studios in Milan and London, she founded her own studio in London in 2006.
Rona’s approach to design is both democratic and deeply intentional, treating each project as a unique challenge to be solved on its own terms. She distils limitless possibilities into singular, refined solutions, always prioritising the core values of the culture and environment in which she works.
With a multicultural background and broad expertise, Rona’s work spans multiple fields—from high-end, tailor-made craftsmanship to industrial-scale production, creative direction, curatorial projects, and large-scale design installations. Her work exists as a dialogue between tradition and innovation, where honest design meets thoughtful execution, with a particular sensitivity to the transformative power of light.
