Nikoletta is an independent lighting designer for over 15 years. Born in Athens and based in Barcelona since 2013, she has been involved in international projects both as a freelancer as well as in collaboration with leading lighting firms in Barcelona, Athens and London.

She holds a BA (Hons) in Interior Design from the University of Derby (1999) and an MSc in Environmental Studies and Bioclimatic Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Madrid (2002).

In the past, she has worked on a wide range of projects (cultural centres, retail, offices and residential). Noteworthy among them are: the Spanish Pavilion at Expo Milano 2015 (Italy), the Centrum Černý Most Shopping Centre (Cz. Republic) and the Onassis Cultural Centre (Greece). In recent years she has mostly led high-end hospitality projects in Spain and internationally, notably the Ohla Eixample Hotel (Spain) Prieta Bay Four Seasons Residences (Costa Rica), the Hyatt Andaz Mayakoba (Mexico), the Generator Hostel Paris (France).

Nikoletta is keen on promoting human comfort lighting and to that end she has participated in the organization of seminars about Architecture, Lighting and Art in Greece. She is lecturing and imparting practical workshops since 2016.

In parallel with lighting design projects, Nikoletta is running sObres mestres, a food waste pop-up restaurant. Less waste leads to a more sustainable living.
