Subjekt Matter is a Singapore-based spatial design and light-art studio specialising in sculptural installations that merge architecture, technology, and human experience. Founded by Eugene Kosgoron, the studio works at the intersection of material craft and computational design, transforming natural forms, geometric structures, and cultural narratives into immersive environments.

Known for its intricate detailing and elegant use of light, Subjekt Matter creates works that serve as both visual focal points and atmospheric experiences. Its portfolio spans suspended sculptures, illuminated centrepieces, kinetic artworks, and site-specific installations for festivals, luxury hospitality, civic spaces, and private collections across Southeast Asia.

Each piece is crafted through a blend of digital precision and artisanal fabrication, often incorporating materials such as rattan, fibre optics, polycarbonate, Tyvek, and custom-engineered components. The studio’s design language is rooted in rhythm, modularity, and organic geometry, resulting in works that feel alive—inviting audiences to pause, interact, and reconnect with their surroundings.

Collaboration is central to the studio’s process. Subjekt Matter works closely with architects, cultural institutions, and curators to create bespoke installations that respond meaningfully to their context. Driven by research, experimentation, and a commitment to narrative-led design, the studio produces spatial artworks that are not just seen, but deeply felt.
