ZKLD Lighting Design Studio is an independent lighting design firm based in Istanbul, Turkey. With 28 years of experience of the founder, Zeki Kadirbeyoğlu, in the field of lighting, the studio gives architectural lighting design, product design and consultancy services for a wide variety of projects including offices, retails, museums, hotels, landscapes, facades, private homes, restaurants and urban master plans.
The studio has a collaborative environment with people from various disciplines including architects, interior designers, landscape architects, product designers, urban planners and electrical engineers. The team members are qualified in the field of the architectural lighting design via international master programs and/or gained work experiences at lighting design companies abroad. ZKLD’s lighting designers are responsible for the project designs to be equivalent in terms of integrity of the investors and architects according to IALD (International Association of Lighting Designers) ethical rules. Zeki Kadirbeyoğlu is a professional member of the IALD. Moreover, with reference to the necessities of the project, certain environmental assessment methods and rating systems such as Leed and Breaam are taken into consideration with regard to project development.
